Someone who needs a job done searches Google, looks at the first few firms and picks one to ring. Reviews decide both steps.
-
Step 1
Being seen
About 9 in 10 UK searches happen on Google, and fewer than 1 in 100 searchers click through to the second page. If you're not near the top, most people never see you.
Reviews are one of the things Google uses to decide who goes first. In its own words:
More reviews and positive ratings can help your business's local ranking.
-
Step 2
Being chosen
Once you're seen, your reviews are how a stranger decides whether to ring you.
85% of people are more likely to use a business after reading positive reviews, and 68% will only use one rated four stars or more.
Three things make your reviews count
-
74%
Recent
74% of people look for reviews written in the last three months. A pile from two years ago does far less for you than a steady few every month.
-
80%
Answered
A reply shows you value feedback and act on it. 80% of people are likely to use a business that replies to all its reviews, good and bad.
-
45%
Read by AI
45% of people now use ChatGPT or similar for local recommendations, up from 6% a year earlier. What it says about you depends on what your customers have written.

What we do
Plenty of happy customers never leave a review because nobody asks. We ask, at the right moment, with a link that opens the right page.
- You send us your recent customers. A name and a mobile number for each. A spreadsheet, an export or a photo of your job book all work.
- We text each of them once, in your name. One short message with a link straight to your Google review page.
- After that, one text goes out after every job. You tap in the customer's name and number when the job's done. That's it.
- We reply to every review. Good or bad, written for that review. Approve each one or leave them to us; we always check with you before answering a complaint. This starts once you carry on after the trial.
What your customer receives
Hi Sarah, thanks for choosing us. If you were happy with the work, would you leave us a quick Google review? It takes a minute: g.page/r/your-link. Reply STOP to opt out.
Two weeks free. No card.
We contact your recent customers and you watch the reviews come in. Every review stays on your Google profile whatever you decide.
£99 a month plus VAT if you carry on. That covers a request after every job, a reply to every review and a monthly count. No setup fee, no contract, cancel any time.
What we won't do
- No rewards for reviews. Google bans them, and hidden incentives are illegal in the UK. We don't offer any.
- No fake reviews. Every request goes to a real customer of yours.
- No cherry-picking. Every customer is asked, not only the ones you expect to be happy.

Send us your customer list and we'll take it from there. Nothing goes to your customers until you've approved the message.
A few quick questions while you're here
Tap an answer for each. They help us set things up so there's less for you to do later. Skip any you like.
How do you invoice customers?
Do you use job software?
Roughly how many jobs do you finish a month?
Do you keep customers' email addresses?
When a review comes in, how should we handle the reply?
Saved. Thank you.
Questions
Is this allowed?
Yes. Google allows a business to ask its genuine customers for a review. What it doesn't allow is paying for reviews or only asking happy customers, and we do neither.
What if someone leaves a bad review?
It can happen, because everyone is asked. You can reply to it publicly, and a business with plenty of recent reviews carries one bad one far better than a business with eight.
How many reviews will I get?
We can't promise a number. It depends on how many customers you send us and how they felt about the work. You'll get a count from us during the two weeks.
What do you need from me?
Your customer list to start. After the trial, a name and mobile number when each job finishes, which takes about ten seconds on your phone.
How do I cancel?
Tell us by text or email. There's no contract and no notice period. If you stop during the free two weeks, you pay nothing.
